Steven H. Schwartz is a partner, practicing in the areas of labor relations, employment litigation and employment arbitration. He has decades of experience in collective bargaining, arbitration of grievances and individual employee claims, and wrongful discharge/discrimination claims. Mr. Schwartz has written or edited hundreds of employee handbooks and policies. He has negotiated and drafted numerous employment agreements, non-compete agreements and severance agreements on behalf of organizations and individuals.

Mr. Schwartz regularly litigates matters before the Michigan Employment Relations Commission, National Labor Relations Board, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Michigan Department of Civil Rights, Unemployment Insurance Agency, Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Michigan and federal Departments of Labor. He represents public and private sector organizations, and counsels them in litigation avoidance techniques.

Mr. Schwartz serves as a neutral case evaluator in Macomb, Oakland and Wayne Counties. He also serves as an arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association on the Labor and Employment Dispute panels. He is a certified mediator and assists several courts as a mediator.
